Artistic Conception & Gemological Mastery
Australian custom artist and master jeweler Colin Burn created The Pearl Royale with one core objective: to design the world's most glorious, regulation tournament-standard chess set without sacrificing aesthetic grandeur. Burn spent over three decades perfecting high-jewelry pavé techniques before completing this one-of-a-kind art piece.
Microscopic Pavé Setting
Each individual chessman is cast from solid 18k white gold and completely wrapped in micro-pavé diamonds. The King and Queen pieces are topped with flawless South Sea pearls harvested from the pristine waters of Northern Australia. The base of every piece is polished with unheated royal blue Ceylon sapphires so the pieces glide friction-free over the crystal playing board.
